Nero Edizione: The Must-Have Package on Your Alfa Romeo Stelvio or Giulia

The Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio go dark with this new Nero Edizione package.

The packs decorate the exterior of the cars with shadowy and black trim. The new special edition models of the sedan and the SUV feature a dark makeover and extra style. The Nero packages take the Alfa Romeo Stelvio and the Giulia to the next level. The exclusive tweaks are only available for the 2.0-liter turbocharged with 280 horsepower models. The upgrades are mostly cosmetic and give this model an edgier, more powerful look. The Nero Edizione models have grille surround, exterior badges, and mirror caps in an Alfa Romero unique shade called Dark Miron. The headlights also have darker, shadowy trims, and gloss black pieces surround the windows. A monotone version of the Alfa Romeo badge is also added to the wheel caps.

The Stelvio and the Giulia have some individual upgrades, too.

Alfa Romeo Stelvio: Nero Edizione

The Nero Edizione gives the more affordable Stelvio options a dose of the Quadrifoglio flare and style. The Stelvio gets gloss black roof rails and a set of 20-inch wheels in that unique shade of Dark Miron. The Nero package also includes darkened exhausts, roof bars, skid plates, mirror caps, and badges. The Stelvio also gets adaptative Bi-xenon headlights for illumination enhancement.

Inside, nothing much changes. The interior design is still luxurious and reaches for maximum comfort and functionality. The Nero Edizione includes aluminum pedals and tinted rear windows. Even with the larger wheels, the ride remains very comfortable, if maybe a little firm. Still, it feels quite agile for a vehicle of its size and characteristics. Like with all Stelvio SUVs, the cabin has ample space both in the front and in the rear, and the length of the body means that the boot also has a decent size.

Alfa Romeo Giulia: Nero Edizione

Like the Stelvio, the Giulia also gets new wheels in its Nero version. The Giulia has a set of 19-inch wheels in the Alfa Romeo shade: Dark Miron. Nero Edizione also adds split-folding rear seats, and all seats are available in three colors, tan, red, and black. Full leather upholstery is also available in these three colors.

Inside, besides the seats, the two-color door panel and dashboard enhance the edgier feel of the Giulia in its Nero embodiment. Another quality detail added in this iteration is the aluminum door sills. This edition also features Alfa Romeo's exclusive driving mode selector, DNA, which can modify the performance and behavior of the car. It adapts itself to the road and the preferences of the driver.

Whichever model you choose, the Stelvio or the Giulia, the Nero Edizione draws you in; Its unique features provide an even edgier and more stylish look to the models. The long elegant curves and sharp muscular lines embody the decisive and fierce character of these two designs. It is a small step up that outfits your vehicle with features present in pricier and more up-scale models without changing the price range drastically.

How the Alfa Romeo Giulia Stacks Up Against Its Competitors

The Alfa Romeo Giulia has set the tone for all future models from the Italian company, and it has shown us that it has set its sights North towards Munich and Stuttgart. The Giulia is Alfa Romeo going straight after BMW's M3, Audi A4, and Mercedes-AMG C63, with a clear intent of dethroning M3's long reign as the superior model in this category, and it not only goes for the hot Giulia Quadrifoglio but all Giulia models. The Alfa Romeo Giulia Engine The Giulia's engine, a 2.9L Twin-turbo V6 is "inspired by Ferrari expertise and technologies," and comes from the engine family of the F154. BMW's 493bhp twin-turbo 3.0, which is not on par with the 503bhp output by this direct-injection engine. It is everything one could hope from Ferrari-inspired machinery, potent, responsive, noisy, and sharp. When it comes to power, the Giulia manages to go toe to toe with the C63's 4-litre twin-turbo hot-V V8. While the M3 would probably outperform the Giulia in terms of agility, response, and grip, the Alfa has a fantastic flow going for it. It has a natural balance given by weight distribution that is less aggressive, not as tightly controlled as its German counterpart. When it comes to steering, the sharp steering and supple suspension combine positively together when you turn the wheel. The Giulia is less intimidating than the BMW M3; it moves much more gracefully. Traction is also reliable and, even better, predictable. Alfa Romeo Giulia Engine (Atlas News) The Interior All Giulia models come with a selector for the drive mode that has three settings: Dynamic, Natural, and Advanced Efficiency (which forms the clever acronym DNA). Each of these settings alters the car's steering feel, engine management, and transmission. The new Pirelli P Zeros tires are very responsive and have an excellent grip. The M3 and the Audi A4 indeed have better-quality materials in their cabins, while the Giulia has a not as well built interior if you make a direct comparison. The Mercedes-AMG C63 S also does feel more high-end than the Giulia. The pieces and plastics don't fit against each other as seamlessly as they do in its competitors. Still, this was a predictable problem area. All in all, the design work on the inside is marvelous. It is simple, clean, and uncomplicated. The interior also has a more than comfortable rear space and boot size. It carries more of a sporting atmosphere than any of its German counterparts, and it does not let you down. You will want to take advantage of the option of having the Sparco bucket seats, which are carbon fiber-backed. They look excellent, and they are also one of the most supportive and comfortable seats in the market today. Alfa Romeo Giulia Ti Lusso Interior (Alfa Romeo) The Giulia Is Overall Excellence The Alfa Romeo Giulia is an excellent luxury sedan, and it is one of the most athletic cars in this class. The Giulia has agile handling, supportive front seats, and two compelling engine options. If you are looking for a small luxury car that feels like a sports car and is fun-to-drive, the Alfa Romeo Giulia is an excellent option in this category.

A Deep Dive into the New Alfa Romeo Giulia Infotainment System

The Alfa Romeo Giulia Infotainment system is an incredible modern upgrade compared to the previous system. The changes Alfa Romeo has put out in a year is incredible. This is truly one of the best Alfa Romeo Giulia infotainment systems yet. Upgraded Display Before even taking a look at the new features of the infotainment system, it is essential to note its upgraded design. In one update, Alfa Romeo went from a list view infotainment system with just a knob to navigate to a fully 8.8-inch touchscreen system with graphics and widgets. The new infotainment system essentially allows the owner to create a home page where each function becomes an app. They can scroll through the apps and drag-and-drop them as they wish. They can also switch the display between a 3- or 5-widget view. As we are all familiar with touchscreens and apps nowadays, the new infotainment navigation system is much more user friendly. The "Apps" 1 by 1 You can scroll between radio (FM/AM) and media (Bluetooth connectivity) From the home screen, you can view the navigation widget and make it bigger, so it takes up the space of two apps or even makes it full screen. There is also a compass feature. Scroll up through the driver assistance widget for more settings. From here, you can adjust the safety settings for the Giulia, such as blind-spot assist, lane-keeping assist, driver attention assist, and many more. There is also a climate control app, which can be accessed from the lower left- and right-hand corners of the touchscreen through the "Lo" button. Of course, this on-screen feature is added to the knobs that come standard with all cars. Whether from the screen or with the knobs, the Giulia offers individual climate control (per seat). There is also the option of added heated seats, though Alfa Romeo has not introduced ventilated seats yet. The performance app features four main categories to check in on the Giulia: performance content, technical gauges, consumption history, and efficient drive. This app assists you with your driving history to keep an eye on your oil, boost, and torque displays as you drive. The vehicle information app informs about any scheduled maintenance based on the information of the Giulia's oil and tires. There is also a check oil feature, where you will find the DNA system (dynamic, natural, and advanced driving modes). The settings app is pretty standard but worth a flip through the options to be familiar with when they are necessary. The connected service's app has three options: Assist call, SOS call, and Wi-Fi Hotspot. This app is for advanced onboard connectivity and to boost safety. The Assist call and SOS call services call the assist call center and emergency services in case of an emergency. The SOS call service will even send your location. The Wi-Fi Hotspot service is a paid service that allows Wi-Fi to be shared on up to 8 onboard devices.
